4.What is a crystal specimen, crystal slice, or rough/raw crystal?

Sometimes the name added to a crystal defines its shape, physical characteristics, or the process in which it has been treated.

For instance, a crystal tumbled set refers to the fact that the crystals have been tumbled or polished. This is a way in which the crystal has been processed. A crystal slice usually refers to a smooth, polished crystal that has the appearance of a slice, as if it was sliced off. This is similar to a crystal slab which is not as smooth and generally appears more natural. A crystal specimen is the same as a regular crystal. It is just a name that might be given to rare or more expensive pieces.

Finally, a rough or raw crystal is the name for an unprocessed crystal. This means it has not been polished or shaped.
